Yelp
Still one of the most-checked review sites for local services and restaurants. A claimed, consistent Yelp listing is close to non-negotiable.
YellowPages
Older brand, still crawled and cited constantly as a reference point for basic business data.
Better Business Bureau (BBB)
A trust signal as much as a citation — an accredited, consistent BBB profile matters more to a wary customer than to Google directly.
Bing Places
Bing's answer to Google Business Profile. Lower search share than Google, but Copilot and Bing search both draw on it, and it takes minutes to fill in once your NAP is saved.
Apple Maps Connect
Controls how your business shows up in Apple Maps and Siri results — the entire iPhone side of "near me" searches depends on this being accurate.
MapQuest
Smaller audience than it used to be, but still indexed and cited, and costs nothing extra to keep consistent once the others are done.
Worth doing, not yet auto-filled
These matter as much or more than the list above — they're just not in the auto-fill list yet, usually because their forms need a different integration approach. Do these by hand with the same canonical NAP.
Google Business Profile
The single most important listing there is — it directly powers the Local Pack, Maps, and most "near me" results. Get this one right before anything else on this page.
Facebook Page
Not a traditional citation site, but your Facebook Page's listed address and phone number are publicly visible and get cross-referenced the same way.
Nextdoor Business Page
Growing weight in hyper-local, neighborhood-level searches, especially for home services.
Industry-specific directories
Angi and HomeAdvisor for home services, Avvo for legal, Healthgrades for medical — worth a consistent listing if one exists for your industry.
